>> Brief History
Data Link University College takes its origins from the Data Link Company Ltd (DLCL), which has been operating as a charitable educational enterprise. It was incorporated in 1993 by Mr. Ernest Ansah, a Ghanaian national, then resident in the UK and working with the UK Government. Its head office was sited at Takoradi. The company's primary objective was to take advantage of the founder's contacts overseas to source for educational resources from other countries, especially, the UK, to be used to advance the cause of education in Ghana.
>> Location
The University College now operates from a temporary location on 5th Avenue, in Tema Community 10 New Road. It can be located on the right hand side of second Traffic Light on the Tema General Hospital Road, and lies about 500 meters south of the intersection.
A one-mile square piece of land has been acquired on the Akosombo-Tema trunk road, near Doryumu, as the permanent campus of the University College. The institue is now soliciting for funding in order to commence construction.

The mission of Data link University College is to provide the environment for balanced psycho-social, intellectual, physical and spiritual development of to its students, faculty, and staff in harmony with the Christian principles and African values.
In the liberal arts and professional development curricula, Data Link aims at academic scholarship, vocational capability and cultural understanding that prepares students for a life of fruitful service to both God and humanity.

The underlying philosophy and objectives of Data Link University College are directed towards the physical, social, spiritual and mental development of students through both practical and intellectual preparations for good service to their communities.
The University aims at inculcating in each student a high sense of integrity, perseverance, adaptability, initiative and absolute trust in God.
>> Student Health Services
Datalink University College has access to a well-resourced first aid facility. The University has signed an agreement with Raphael Medical Center, which is only 50 yards aways from the gates of the University College to take care of the medical needs of staff and students. An evaluation or recommendation given by the Center will be taken as proof of illness or otherwise. Students and Staff may use this evaluation to request an excused absence from classes or work as the case may be.
